Peace - Day 3 - Faith-Based Advent Activity

Craft a Prayer Pocket

A prayer pocket is a small, often fabric pouch or quilt designed to hold a prayer or affirmation. It serves as a tangible reminder of faith and comfort, allowing individuals to carry a meaningful message with them throughout their day.

Today we’re going to make a prayer pocket.  You can keep it for yourself or you can give it to a friend that’s in need of prayer.  Think about what you want to put in your prayer pocket.  It can be the “Prince of Peace” scripture tag that you made yesterday.  It can be a cross or prayer beads.

Our only supply today (other than the object that you’re going to place in the pocket) is origami paper or a piece of colored copy paper.  If you wish, you can use white copy paper and draw a design on it.  You could also use wrapping paper – as long as it is light weight.

Directions:  This is another paper folding activity.  Below are step-by-step diagrams on how to fold your prayer pocket.
