Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
Immanuel, our incarnate God, as we begin this adventure through Advent, we come to you with humble hearts asking you to bring us our own sign, just like you brought to Mary so many years ago, of how you will be with us during this season of Advent. We thank you for traveling this journey with us and for being our “God with us” during this journey. May we be open to the signs and wonders that you reveal to us this Advent season. Amen.
