The Great Fifty Days of Easter - Day 9 - April 9th

Day 9 - April 9th
Resurrection
1 Corinthians 15:12 (NIV)

But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

So what's the difference between being raised from the dead and being resurrected?  A person who is raised from the dead, resuscitated, will die again.  A person who has been resurrected will never physically die again.  Remember that we have talked about the fact that, culturally, the Corinthians did not believe in people being raised from the dead.  Paul's main argument is that Jesus came to earth as a human.  And since he died a human death, his resurrection that was evidenced by many proves that we (humans) believers can look forward to an eternal resurrected life after our earthly bodies cease to exist.

Listen to Matt Maher's "Because He Lives" and use it as your prayer today to remember that because Jesus died for our sins and was resurrected, he has given us that hope for our lives.
