1 Corinthians 15:16

For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either.

This is the first of four points that Paul outlines starting with today's verse.  The sequence of these points is logical.  Paul uses an "if...then" logical format.  If the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either.  "The dead are not raised" is the "fact," and "Christ has not been raised either" is the justification of the fact.  These "if...then" arguments allow us to see the opposite.  If the dead ARE raised, then Christ HAS been raised also.

Activity:  Open up your Bible and find other instances of "if...then."  Write them down and meditate on how they help further their understanding for you.
